How many of you are wondering how to get rid of those bags under your eyes? Most eye creams advertise that they are wrinkle preventers, but what about those sacs that you get under your eyes after a night of no sleep? Guess what? Like everything else, there is a solution. Working as a makeup artist in the film industry in Vancouver, you pick up little tricks along the way. There is a miracle eye cream for your bags under your eyes, but it isn’t actually an eye cream at all. Interested?
This little trick that makeup artists use for actors who’ve been up partying all night is Preparation H! You might be asking “isn’t that for hemorrhoids”? It sure is! This bum cream works wonders for your eyes. Now I don’t think it is necessary for you to put it on everyday like you would with your regular eye cream. Instead, just on mornings when you are feeling a little puffy. In fact, if you feel the need to wear it everyday, then your bags may be hereditary and in that case the cream would not work for you. Preparation H is usually used under the eyes in cases where the actor or client is puffy from lack of sleep, intense crying the night before, or when he or she has a cold.
Something to keep in mind… If you do decide to add this cream to your makeup kit, then I would also buy a little clear bottle to put the cream in, unless you don’t mind getting caught with Preparation H in your bathroom.
If you have anymore questions about this or any other posts please feel free to leave your comments, as I always look forward to hearing your feedback.

Hi Maria,
What product do you recommend for dark circles under the eye? How does one choose the right shade? And, do you have tips on how to get rid of those? I did try putting cucumber on both eyes once but I find it really cumbersome..

Dear Jenny,
The are many good concealers, but there is definitely one that is the top of the list. I can’t tell you what it is yet because its going to be in the top ten and they are secrets. You will have to keep and eye out as I update the list over the next week or so. As for choosing the right color and shade, I will write a blog post first thing tomorrow morning on how to pick the right color and shade of concealer. I would write it out here for you, but it was such a great question, I think that it deserves its own posting.
Thanks
